How long have you been doing what you do and how did you become a wedding planners?

B&R Events has been in business since 2004, though then you would have just called Debbie and Sam. We became B&R in 2006 after being told for years that we should start our own business. Instead of calling Debbie Benamati and Samantha Rambo, you now get to call B&R Events, LLC.

We became wedding planners because we have a passion for FUN things. We love to laugh and celebrate.

Debbie has a formal background in visual and graphic arts and lighting design. She raised two children who consistently “volunteered” her for school and community events requiring creative flair, hours of work and dedication and little or no funding.

Samantha has her degree in communication and marketing and loves having a plan (and spreadsheets!). Samantha loves food, wine, and flowers more than a lot of things.

We are also two of the most frugal people you will ever meet in your entire life. We love numbers and details, which is a rare quality in creative people.

We love your wedding planning services and portfolio. Everything sounds great... So, can you tell me what really sets you apart from all the other wedding planners out there?

We love being a mother-daughter team. A lot.

We love the balance of tradition and trendy.

We love our brides, and have been told many times we end up being a therapist as well.

We have taken cake decorating classes, read Emily Post cover to cover (twice, each), know way too much about which flowers are in season, worked in bridal shops, worked as a professional makeup artist, worked in kitchens and catering offices, and studied food and wine pairings. We love to document our projects with personal photos and have picked up several tips from our professional photographers along the way.

We are constantly learning, constantly keeping up with the trends, and constantly updating our database of vendors and their prices.

We only have one agenda: to work for you and to keep your best interest in mind.

Are we going to be able to afford all this?

We have three packages to choose from, but we create custom packages all the time. The packages are just guidelines, as are the prices.

It takes the average bride 10 forty hour weeks to plan her wedding. That is four hundred hours. Can you afford four hundred hours? You will save your time, money and energy working with B&R Events.

With whom do you work best?

You will benefit working with us if you want a beautiful wedding day that will run smoothly. People who want their family and friends to enjoy their day and let the professionals do the work.

We work with brides that have little to no idea of what they want to brides that come to us with complete “vision charts”. If you fall anywhere in between these two categories (or beyond), you are perfect for us.

Who is not going to benefit from our help planning your wedding?

People who treat us differently than how they wish to be treated. If you don’t understand “why, oh, why” you need a coordinator or planner, we believe that you deserve a stress free, gorgeous, and fun day. If you fall into this category, that is cool, but send us an email first and we can tell you how we can help.

Will I have a cookie cutter wedding if I hire you to be my planner?

Absolutely not! We pride ourselves on having events that don’t look the same. You are unique, and it is you and your fiancé’s day. The resources and creativity that we will provide to you will only allow you to extend who you are into your big day.

You will never lose control of your wedding.

Will you work with the vendors I’ve already found?

Of course! We love meeting new and interesting people.

Can we have a payment plan?

You sure can. We require a deposit within 30 days from your FREE “Getting to Know You” consultation to hold your date and your rate and the balance is required 8 days before your event. We can arrange payment in the middle.

Do you take more than one wedding per day?

No. You will get two coordinators on your wedding day.
